🔒 Privacy Policy

WoSB Planner ("the app", "we") is a free, unofficial fan-made tool for the World of Sea Battle community that helps clans organise raids, manage fleets and create ship builds, with Discord integration. This policy explains what personal data we process and why.

1. Data controller

The controller of this website and bot is the operator of WoSB Planner (https://wosbplanner.com). For any privacy matter, contact [email protected].

2. What data we collect

a) When you log in with Discord (OAuth, "identify" scope)

• Your Discord user ID.
• Your Discord username and display name.
• Your Discord avatar hash (to show your picture).

We do not request your Discord email, your direct messages, or your server list.

b) Data you provide inside the app

• Display name, and optionally clan name, server region and faction.
• Your fleet (ships you mark as owned).
• Your raid sign-ups (chosen role and ship) and guild-mission participation.
• Builds you publish (the author name you enter and the ship configuration).

c) Technical data

• A session cookie to keep you logged in and remember your language.
• When you vote on a build, we store a fingerprint of your IP address solely to prevent duplicate votes.
• Basic server logs that the hosting may generate.

3. How we use your data

• To create and maintain your account and identify you within your clan.
• To organise raids and missions, and show available fleet to your clan's officers.
• To post bot messages in your clan's Discord channels.
• To prevent abuse (duplicate votes, bots) and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your data based on your consent (by logging in and using the tool) and our legitimate interest in providing and protecting the service. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (see section 7).

5. Third parties

• Discord Inc. — for login and for the bot to post messages. Subject to Discord's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — anti-bot captcha on login; may receive your IP and browser data.
• Hosting provider — stores the database and server logs.

Donation links (PayPal, Revolut) lead to external pages; if you donate, that data is handled by those providers, not by us.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove the associated personal data (profile, fleet, sign-ups). Some aggregated or anonymised records (e.g. statistics) may be kept.

7. Your rights

You can delete your account yourself at any time from your profile (👤 button → "Delete my account"), which removes your associated personal data. You also have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict processing, as well as data portability and to object. To exercise them or request help, email [email protected]. If you are in the EU and believe we mishandle your data, you may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

8. Minors

The service is not directed at anyone below Discord's minimum age in your country (13+ depending on region). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The new version will be posted on this page with its update date.
